Frustration and time, when it comes to trout fishing, seems to be the common buzzword.Good news, there are some simple trout fishing tips that may turn your next fishing trip into success! The more experienced anglers may catch a trout or two, and they think they are lucky, which more times than not, is the truth.Yet, even they, if they took the time to learn a few do’s and don’t's when it comes to these elusive fish the ‘luck’ might actually become skill. As strange as this may seem, understanding your prey, knowing how they think, move , eat and even lives, the same as you would do in hunting,applies here.This could be the most important tip you need to learn. These Elusive Fish-What Do They Eat & When? Try equating fishing with hunting. You do not run up on a deer or a bear, and the same holds true for trout. Splash around in their pond, they certainly can hear you,and wear your camouflage they can still see you! When it comes to eating, trout do not use any special ‘radar’ to distinguish their food.

It is important for anglers to note, that if it is flying insect time use these as bait. If it is nymph time and you see these hanging from branches or just under the water, then this should be your bait. Trout do know the difference between flying and the younger insects, so to improve your catch, stick with what nature knows best. There are even certain times of day that make trout fishing easier.

Trout become virtually blind to you, when the sun hits the water at certain times of day in spring and fall. They do have what is know as ‘monocular’ vision, caused by refractive light, which creates shadows and movements, that will make them run and hide.So, try to create your fishing expeditions during these daylight hours.

To ensure a bountiful and fun trout fishing experience, picking up a few books and learning about your quarry and their habits is a great idea. Remember:Use the bait that is natural to them and the sunlight to your advantage , to bring home a great catch.
